Creative Project: This mock podcast series sheds light on the United States criminal legal system and its impact on incarcerated and formerly incarcerated individuals.

If published, it would examine why we must abolish prison institutions and foster communal responsibility for preventing and responding to harm. In this series, I would examine various peer-reviewed journals, speak with formerly incarcerated people, and pull from the Movement for Black Lives abolitionist agenda. Additionally, the evidence presented would account for the impact of mass incarceration on millions of people, their families, and their communities.

Along with scripting and recording a mock episode, I designed the podcast series cover. In this depiction the guard tower, barbed fence, and title symbolizes the internal exploration of prison conditions and the simultaneous discussion of institutional carceral issues.
